We all sat down a round table and she talked all about the history of gin and the story behind Jensens gin how it’s made etc. We were hosted by Helga who was lovely and really knowledgeable and made the whole experience a lot of fun! But if you care more about the quality of the product than the thing that contains it, this is for you.
There’s surprising earthy floral notes of violet complementing a gentle spiced coriander and quintessentially pine-forward, yet gentle, juniper note. Jensen's Bermondsey Gin harks back to the mid-20th century and the quality gins produced before the '80s and '90s, where some say the spirit languished somewhat. Distilling historical gins in Jensen's converted railway arch with trains thundering overhead, they are proud to be a part of that tradition. Charlie was very informative and funny, and gave a great insight into the history behind gin generally and how Jensen’s came into existence.
Jensen’s has been designed to replicate the old-style London gins from the heyday of the gin cocktail and is one of the only small-batch London Dry gins actually produced in London.
