Just tap any GPS Tag button on any screen and the Date, Time, and Location of your trip auto-loads in Trip Log. Whether you like to fish in freshwater or at the ocean, just cast out to map the waterbed, mark fish and save GPS locations and you’ll catch more and larger fish every time.

The bobber is connected to the line and the bait to the bobber tail, it’s cast out to the water and the fisherman waits for the tell-tale nibble bob. In this menu, you can check things like battery life and temperature at a glance, and you can toggle alarms and lights. iBobber weather is GPS based and provides current temperature, estimated high and low temperature for the day, the percentage chance of rain, wind speed and what direction it's blowing in from, as well as the barometric pressure.In the standard sonar mode, I began to wonder about the accuracy of the device when the bobber was stationery and the display kept showing alternating solid bottom, then weed covered bottoms scrolling across the screen.

It syncs via Bluetooth® Smart (Bluetooth Low Energy Technology) with your iOS device up to 100’ away from a boat, shore, kayak, or pier, so you have a fishfinder with a solid connection, that won't deplete your phone's battery like wi-fi does, a fishfinder that goes up to 8hrs on a charge, that's half the size and weight— a fishfinder that’s as mobile as you are. In this view, large fish (over 15”) are tagged with light green depth tags, while smaller fish (under 15”) are tagged with orange depth tags.

The “other features” that we’re about to describe are features that take advantage of the unit’s GPS. In a better, more enlightened universe, that might mean that you could download charts for your iBobber. The iBobber is a castable fish finder; instead of using a control head, the unit is controlled via an app on your phone.

135' deep). The high contrast design and the app’s anti-glare setting increases visibility in bright outdoor lighting so you can use it whenever you want. Between the choppiness of the water, the size of the ocean fish we were after, and the fact that our boat was already fitted with a sonar fish finder, as are most of the ocean going fishing boats I’ve been in, I concluded that ocean fishing may not be the iBobber strongest suit. Talking about the display of this unit is pretty tricky—after all, the quality of the display will depend entirely on the device you connect to your iBobber!
